The Victorian government has enforced a number of new requirements which if found to be breached, may result in heavy fines and penalties. Here are those that relate to riding with Ola:
- Riders can only travel, including in an Ola, for the reasons outlined here: https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/stage-4-restrictions-covid-19
- It is mandatory to wear a face-covering when driving or riding with Ola
- Riders must now sit in the back seat of the vehicle
- Drivers will need a work permit that they have to apply for and have with them at all times when driving Permitted worker scheme.
